Taking Precautionary Action: Roadmap for Success The Southeast Regional Conference on
Mega-Dumps, Nuclear Power & Sewage Sludge
November 16 – 18, 2007
The Proximity Hotel, Greensboro, North Carolina
Conference Proceedings
This regional event brought together groups and activists from Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and other states to build a stronger movement to prevent harm from the threats of landfills and mega-dumps, nuclear reactors and sewage sludge. We explored how precaution can be applied to these problems, shared successful strategies and policies, and sharpened our skills in countering industry opposition, developing effective messaging and demystifying the technical aspects of environmental health issues. Together we can win in our campaigns on mega-dumps, landfills, nuclear power and sludge.
