Dear Ms. Gibbs:

Thank you for your thoughtful letter to The Walt Disney Company on cleaning products. Your letter has been forwarded to my office for a response. The health and safety of all guests, Cast Members and employees, along with the protection of air, water and soil resources, are longstanding Disney values.

Disney’s current inventory of cleaning products includes more than a dozen that have been certified by Green Seal or other reputable organizations. Prior to use, safety personnel, the fire department and environmental affairs staff review new products to help to ensure that only the safest alternatives are used within our operations.

We do not believe that any products that would constitute a hazard to guests or workers, or render the Company out of compliance with any local, state or national health, safety and environmental regulations are being purchased or used. It would be helpful to receive from you a listing of the specific products of concern, which you identified to be in use at Walt Disney World Resort.

We wish you the best as you promote friendly cleaning product alternatives.
Sincerely,

Kris McNamara
