The Walt Disney World Company releases its first Corporate Responsibility Report where it outlines a long-term strategic plan to have Zero Waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. On the same day, Disney World releases a Healthy Cleaning Policy that leaves many wondering if this is just greenwashing. CHEJ releases detailed recommendations on how far Disney World has to go in making this a comprehensive and transparent green cleaning policy.

CHEJ holds a National Day of Action, rallying supporters to send hundreds of postcards, host green cleaning parties in over twenty cities, and raise their voices to encourage Disney to reform their purchasing policy.

Disney receives designation for all of its Florida hotels and resorts for the Florida Green Lodging Program for its efforts to increase energy efficiency and decrease company greenhouse gas emissions though continues to ignore the importance of eliminating toxic cleaning products, while touting their concern for the environment.
